The International Academy of Pathology (IAP) is dedicated to the advancement of Pathology through educational exchanges worldwide, including the organization of international congresses, providing access to high-quality pathology education to our global community and bringing new knowledge to underserved areas.

The XXXVth IAP Congress, taking place in Cancun, Mexico on 27-31 October 2024, aims to provide all attendees with high-class educational programs, delivered by world-renowned experts and through shared knowledge and expertise, advance pathology education, research and practice. We are delighted to announce that Abstract submissions and Bursary Applications are now open for the 35th International Congress of the IAP in Cancun. Hosted by the Mexican Division, this is an excellent opportunity for pathologists to exchange knowledge, experiences and the latest developments in the field with experts from all around the world.

Deadline for abstract submissions: April 10th.

Bursaries have been established to support trainees and pathologists in their early career from under-served countries to attend International Congresses of the IAP. This has been supported by the Education Committee as well as by the many IAP Divisions, including USCAP.  Successful applicants will receive a bursary award covering registration, airfare and accommodation.

  • Applicants should be from underserved countries.
  • Applicants who are 45 years old or younger at the time of application will be given preference, together with Preference is given to trainees or pathologists who are practising with less than 5 years of training. A small number of Senior Pathologist Bursaries are available on a case-by-case basis.
  • Applicants must have submitted an abstract to the Congress via the Congress Website.
  • Abstract acceptance is a condition of the bursary.

Deadline for bursary applications: April 17th.
